On the 23rd of July, Cabinteely Village held it’s annual Dancing at the Crossroads Ceili. I went along, to see what the event was like, as I have been meaning to go for the last number of years, but, have never yet managed to go. This year I succeeded!
The event ran from 8pm until 1am (ish). I arrived at about 9pm, as I had been at the RDS Horseshow earlier that day. The road from the Dual Carriageway into Cabinteely was closed off and people were dancing on the road in between the Church and the Horse and Hound Pub, across from the Gardai Station.
The atmosphere was great, with a great mix of ages of people. I did not get too many photos that night, as I was exhausted and I had forgotten to bring my flash with me! (Silly me).
I will go again next year, with the proper equipment!
