At the end of July, I joined some other photographers for an Astro Photography workshop, we meet at Glendalough at 9pm, on a mild night. Glendalough is a good spot for this type of photography as it is quite dark and has less light pollution than a lot of other areas around Dublin or Wicklow.
The reports were for the clouds to clear later in the evening, which they did, for a short while at around 2am, this meant that our opportunity for star shots were drastically reduced.
I have tried star trail photography before, so this, though similar, was a new experience for me, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I have attached below two shots that I took. I look forward to going out and trying again another night.
