I always try to go along to the Leinster or Irish Rugby Open Training Sessions. The last one was held in Greystones Rugby Club at the beginning of this month. It is a very enjoyable couple of hours.
Normally, You get to watch the team train for an hour or so, and then the players take time with the crowd to sign autographs and take selfies with the fans. I love this element of the event, as you can see how much it means to the crowd to meet their idols.
The players always have a word or two for the gathered fans and are amazing with the children present.
These events are normally advertised at short notice, so if you want to go to one, you need to watch the Rugby Social Media Accounts. They are held at various clubs around the Province and Country. All the Provincial Clubs do this, so, if you follow Munster, Ulster or Connaught, you can attend a similar Open Training Session.
Thank you to Leinster Rugby for holding another wonderful day.
