IGers Dublin Street Art Photowalk

Yesterday, I attended the IGers Dublin Street Art Insta Meet Up Photowalk, where we were guided around some of the most important locations, introduced to some of the best pieces of Street Art presently in Dublin, and had it’s culture explained to us by the very knowledgable and patient El-Viz, who is a street and studio artist himself. There was a large crowd of friendly photographers involved in this walk, on a gorgeous Spring day. El-Viz brought us through Temple Bar, the Liberties and the Tivoli Carpark. We finally ended the walk at The Bernard Shaw pub, which is the spiritual home of Street Art and Graffiti in Dublin. I learnt a lot about the differences between Street Art and Graffiti and was fascinated to learn more about the pieces and the artists who created them. I now have a more detailed knowledge of this intreating art form. This walk was part one of a series of walks that will focus on local artists in different fields around Dublin. I look forward to taking part in the other events too. Thanks El-Viz and IGers Dublin for organising such an enjoyable event.
