Every year I visit the Saltee Islands, off the coast of Wexford, yesterday was my first visit for this year. It is an absolute treat to spend the day on this Island, listening to the sea and the birds calling to each other. It is possible that you will find one person asleep at some stage during the day as it is such a peaceful place to be. The Saltee Islands are a popular destination with tourists and camera clubs so the ferries to the Island were pretty busy all day. I would recommend visiting the Saltees if you are interested in wildlife or are in the area during the Summer.
