Last week I took part in a tour of Waterford Crystal, it was great as you got to see the people working on the glass and they explained the whole process to you from start to finish. I really enjoyed learning about this iconic brand. It takes eight years to become a Master Craftsman in Waterford Crystal, the final graduating piece the craftsmen need to produce involves over 600 different cuts. We saw various high profile pieces that have been used as trophies all over the world. They have a giant grandfather clock inside the workshop that is made of crystal, I didn’t get to take a photo of it, as people were taking selfies with it and we were only close to it for a couple of minutes. This is a great tour and if you are visiting Waterford, I would recommend it. I have included the website at the end of this post, in case you want more information or to book a tour.
