The 2018 Liffey Descent Race was held, however, due to the draught over the Summer, there was not enough water for the competitors to bring their boats over Lucan weir. This meant they needed to get out of the boats and carry them down to the next stretch of river before they set off again. If anyone did go over the edge from the top part of the river to the lower part, they damaged their canoes. The two guys in white, who were rowing in tandem, got their boat stuck on the riverbed, and it took them quite a while to free themselves. There was more water last year, I will go back again next year to catch more action shots.
